Work experience

North Hertfordshire College is an approved IMI centre, meaning you’ll develop the skills and experience you need for a successful career in the motor vehicle sector. Our qualifications have been developed in close liaison with industry specialists, electric vehicle manufacturers, health and safety executives, and the IMI Sector Skills Council, meaning you’ll be able to meet employers’ expectations when you finish your course.

To help kick your career into gear, you’ll work alongside our employer partners to gain some valuable advice and even have the opportunity for work experience placements. Our students have worked with a number of big-name employers and brands, including BMW and Hertfordshire Fire & Rescue Services.

During your course with North Hertfordshire College, you’ll be taught by experienced professionals as you work through a curriculum shaped by our employer partners – all of which will leave you confident about your career journey.
