At North Hertfordshire College, we offer a broad range of part-time courses for adult learners.
If you want to advance in your current role at work, improve your skills to help you get a job or are interested in a career change, we have a range of courses available.
What we offer
We have courses which develop your professional skills in accounting and HR, or you can learn a trade, become a counsellor, re-train for a science-related career or train to be a teacher.
Through our Access to Higher Education courses, you can train to be a nurse or midwife, study social sciences, law and humanities and, gain the skills and knowledge required to build a career in a variety of science and allied health professions including radiography, nutrition and biomedical science.
A number of our courses are accredited by industry or professional bodies and all are recognised and valued by employers.
If you are recently unemployed or have been looking for work for a while, we also offer some free short courses (Bounce Back and Kick Start) to help get you back into work. And we are providing some online courses to provide a skills boost in some key areas such as management, customer and business services and mental health awareness training.
We also offer a range of beginners and intermediate courses where you can develop a hobby and meet people with the same interests.
All our courses are taught in a relaxed and friendly environment and are available on a flexible basis, allowing you to fit them around your existing schedule.
How the courses will be delivered
We will be providing a flexible learning experience to ensure that we keep all our learners safe, following the latest Government guidance. Some of our courses will be taught online, some in the classroom (with social distancing) and others will be a blend of both online and offline.
Please get in touch with us if there is a course you are interested in, so we can tell you how it will be delivered.
