At North Hertfordshire College, we offer a broad range of full-time and part-time courses for adult learners.

Whether you’re looking to advance in your current role at work, pick up new skills, or completely change your career, we have a range of courses available to help you on your journey.

Adult learner courses at North Hertfordshire College

Our courses develop your professional skills across a broad range of sectors, including accounting and HR. We also offer courses to help you learn a trade, become a counsellor, or even re-train to enter a science-related career. NHC also offers courses to help you train to become a teacher! A number of our courses are accredited by industry or professional bodies, and all are respected and valued by employers.

Through our Access to Higher Education courses, you can train to be a nurse or midwife, study social sciences and law, and gain the skills and knowledge required to build a career in a variety of science and allied health professions including radiography, nutrition and biomedical science.

If you are recently unemployed or have been looking for work for a while, we also offer some free short courses (Hart Workskills) to help you get back into work. On top of that, we also provide some online courses to give your skills a boost in some key areas such as management, customer and business services and mental health awareness training.

We also offer a range of beginner and intermediate courses where you can develop a hobby and meet people with the same interests.

All our courses are taught in a relaxed and friendly environment and are available on a flexible basis, allowing you to fit them around your existing schedule.

How the courses will be delivered
