GCSE Results 2025

Published on August 21, 2025

North Hertfordshire College (NHC) are celebrating successful GCSE results for students and adult learners across our courses. Many of the learners collecting their results have completed their GCSE maths and/or English alongside their chosen vocational programme.

The completion of their GCSEs will now allow many of NHC’s learners to access new opportunities such as further or higher study, apprenticeships, and employment.

Leyland Windsor is one of the happy students collecting their GCSE results today. As a result of his new maths qualification, Leyland will now be moving up to his Level 2 Media Production course at North Hertfordshire College in September. He said:

“I feel great that I passed my maths. It did take a lot of hard work, but I did pretty well last year so I thought I should carry on and try and do even better. I’m going to be coming back to college in September, and hopefully I can smash whatever comes next in my journey.”

Annie Papakyprianou also collected her English grade this morning and will now be progressing to her Level 3 Travel and Tourism qualification. Reflecting on her experience, Annie said:

Other success stories include Lois Quartey, Joe Morris, Madison Vero, Jack Hutt-Lewis, and  Maddie Timbrell, who have received the grades they need to progress in their studies and towards their chosen careers.

Kit Davies, Principal of North Hertfordshire College, said:

“I’m so proud to see our students’ achievements and hope they’re equally pleased with what they’ve accomplished. The hard work and dedication our learners and teaching teams have demonstrated is incredible, and it’s certainly represented in these final grades.

“So many of our students have now achieved the qualifications they need to progress in their chosen next steps, and I’m delighted to think of the future prospects which are open to them as a result. We look forward to seeing what the future holds for all our students celebrating today.”

Rebecca Rutherford, Head of Maths & English for North Hertfordshire College’s Stevenage and Engineering & Construction Campuses, said:

“Our students have all worked so hard throughout their maths and English classes this year, and it’s wonderful to see the results of their efforts. Many of our students have overcome a number of barriers to ensure they get the grades they need to be successful in their future careers or further studies. On behalf of the Maths and English team at North Hertfordshire College, I’d like to say a huge congratulations to all of our learners today, and wish them all the best for the future.”
