North Hertfordshire College is part of the Hart Learning Group, a charitable organisation with a mission to spark fascination and inspire and motivate people through learning. It supports over 10,000 learners and employs around 450 staff.

North Hertfordshire College is proud to be part of the Hart Learning Group, a charitable organisation that brings educational opportunities to all members of the community – from early-years children right through to career-changing adults! The Group is made up of a range of organisations in the Hertfordshire area, including the STEM Discovery Centre, Hart Learning & Development, and the Hart Schools Trust (made up of Roebuck Academy and The Thomas Alleyne Academy).
The Hart Learning Group’s mission is simple: creating social and economic value in the local area through quality learning opportunities.
Through the Group, North Hertfordshire College is able to do just that! The European Union funds and co-funds some of the College’s programmes – particularly for unemployed people – mainly through the European Social Fund. Visit website.
The ESFA brings together the former responsibilities of the Education Funding Agency (EFA) and Skills Funding Agency (SFA) to create a single agency accountable for funding education and skills for children, young people and adults. Visit website.
Office For Students is an independent public body. That reports to Parliament through the Department for Education (DfE). North Hertfordshire College runs a small number of degree-level courses which are either funded directly by OFS or in partnership with Universities. Visit website.
