Degree Courses

An undergraduate degree that typically lasts about 3 years. Most courses have core modules which everyone studies, and many courses allow you to choose options or modules to make up a course that suits you.

Extended Degrees

A one-year course that sets you up with all the essential skills and knowledge you need to go on to study for a full Bachelor’s degree.

Foundation Degree

A two-year course involving practical work that prepares you for degree-level study. These qualifications can even be used to help break you into your dream career!

HNDs and HNCs

Higher National Degrees and Certificates which helps you study at higher education level in stages. Once you finish this course, it’s possible for you to from these courses to complete a full bachelor’s degree at university, either through a specific top-up course or by directly entering a degree in year three.

Choose an Access course

Not got the qualifications yet to progress to one of our HE courses? Don’t worry. We have a range of intensive one-year courses aimed at students over 19 years of age. We will help you find your path with pre-Access and Access courses to your preferred HE course.

We don’t demand any formal qualifications for commencing an Access to HE course at NHC but we do need to make sure that your literacy and numeracy skills are sufficiently developed to cope with the demands of the course.
