What do I need to bring to my enrolment appointment?

To help make the enrolment process run smoothly, there are a couple of documents we need you to bring to your enrolment appointment. We’ll also need to take some small payments (card, cash, or cheques made out to North Hertfordshire College are all accepted) to cover some bonus costs on your course.

Please note you will also need to complete our online enrolment form. Links for this will be sent out closer to enrolment.

Some of these items are specific to your course – check what you need to bring with you by clicking on your curriculum area below!

Are you on holiday over our enrolment period?

It’s important that you come to an in-person enrolment session so you can complete the last bits of paperwork to officially join as a student.

If you’ve received an offer but are going to be on holiday when your enrolment session happens, please email a copy of your GCSE results to your course administrator by 12pm on GCSE results day. This lets us know you’re still interested in the course, and you can complete the rest of your enrolment at a later date.

Can’t remember who your course administrator is? Please email admissions@nhc.ac.uk before GCSE results day for a reminder.

Please note this only applies to students who are on holiday on their enrolment date.

Financial Support

It’s really important that you don’t let money matters get in the way of you attending college. If you think you are eligible for financial support, our Student Services team will be on-hand during enrolment to help you start a financial support application ready for the start of your course in September.

For more information about the full range of Financial Support options open to our students, please visit our Financial Support page.

Financial Support at NHC

Funding for 19+ students

It’s possible that you won’t need to pay any course fees if one of the following circumstances apply:

  • You’re unemployed and receiving specific state benefits
  • You’re earning less than £18,525 annual gross salary
  • You’re studying a specific level course (dependent on your age)

Not all courses meet the requirements to be funded by the DFE and are sometimes not available for financial support. If you have any queries about whether you could study your course for free, please contact enquiries@nhc.ac.uk

To check the full options of financial support and see if you’re eligible, please visit our Financial Support page.
