Pamper Day Success Raises Funds for MNDA

Published on December 20, 2025

North Hertfordshire College’s Beauty Therapy and Hospitality & Catering students hosted a pamper day experience, raising money for our Charity of the Year: Motor Neurone Disease Association (MNDA)’s Hertfordshire branch.

The sold-out event raised £245 for the charity, a fantastic contribution towards this year’s fundraising total.

Guests were welcomed into our student-run salon, The Retreat, where they were treated to pastries and refreshments before enjoying ninety minutes of pure relaxation. Each visitor was treated to a soothing facial and massage delivered by our talented beauty students as part of the session.

Following their treatments, guests were escorted to our student-run restaurant, The Meadows, to enjoy a delicious two-course meal prepared and served by our Hospitality & Catering students.

Christine, a fundraiser from the Hertfordshire MNDA branch who also attended the event, commented: “The event was so lovely – the students were all so professional, and we’d like to thank everyone who was involved in organising the day. We’ve been told there will be a similar event next spring, and we’ll definitely come again. What a wonderful way to raise funds for our charity.”

Chloe Dellar, NHC’s Hair & Beauty Technician and organiser of the event, told us: “This was all round a great day, raising money for an incredible cause! I’m so proud of all the students involved.”

A huge well done to all the students, The Meadows, and The Retreat for creating such a memorable experience by showcasing their skills and supporting an incredible cause!
