Build a strong set of digital skills to bring your creative ideas to life on NHC’s Content Creation pathway. Perfect for aspiring digital marketers, freelancers, and digital creatives!

HOW AND WHAT WILL I LEARN?

Join NHC’s Content Creation pathway to develop the technical and artistic skills to bring your ideas to life. Our expert teaching teams will help you develop and test your creativity by refining your skills and techniques, as well as explore how you can create a career from your talent.

You’ll develop a range of technical, creative and professional skills related to producing digital media. These include:

  • Graphic design fundamentals: Using design software like Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator to create visual assets, including logos and social media graphics.
  • Video production and editing: Operating cameras, understanding basic lighting, sound recording, and editing using software like Adobe Premiere Pro
  • Audio editing: Recording and editing audio, including podcasts, voiceovers, sound effects, and using software like Audacity or Adobe Audition
  • Photography and photo editing: Understanding composition, lighting, and photography techniques, as well as post-production editing in software like Lightroom or Photoshop.
  • Marketing and social media: Understanding digital marketing principles, managing social media accounts, creating engaging social media content, and using analytics to assess content performance
  • Animation and motion graphics: Basic animation techniques and creating motion graphics using software like Adobe After Effects
  • Content ideation and planning: Generating creative content ideas and planning the production schedule, including storyboarding and shot planning
  • Branding and identity design: Developing skills to create content that aligns with brand guidelines and creates a cohesive brand identity.
  • User experience (UX) design principles: Considering user experience in digital content or interactive media.

Entry Requirements

For level 3 courses, a minimum of four GCSEs are required at grade 4 or above, including English, maths, and an art qualification; or a level 2 qualification with English and maths at grade 4 or above.
