The NET Winter Fayre Event

The NET Winter Fayre took place on Thursday 5th December at the Stevenage Atrium, where NET students hosted stalls selling seasonal gifts, plants, advent trees, jewellery and much more. A raffle ticket competition also took place, with a chance to win big prizes from local businesses.

NET student, Conor Canavan said: “I really enjoyed working on the raffle stall at our Christmas Fayre. It was a great way to raise money for the secret garden. It was really fun, lots of people having a good time and getting Christmassy.”

Students were able to participate in seasonal games and activities catered to everyone in a safe sociable environment. Student, Kiera Bellchambers said: “I enjoyed the Winter Fayre because I could socialise with my friends. I liked the music that was playing, and it got us into the Christmas spirit. I enjoyed running the stall because it made me feel independent.”

In total, the NET students raised over £870 with all proceeds from the event contributing towards the development of the students’ secret garden at the college’s Stevenage campus.

Thank you to all the businesses in Stevenage that showed incredible support towards the NET Winter Fayre, by providing gifts towards our raffle.
