North Hertfordshire College’s Supported Studies learners have been busy working in partnership with Woolgrove School, a specialist primary education provision.
The Supported Studies group recently hosted an event, inviting Woolgrove pupils to our Stevenage campus to take part in a range of fun activities. Our learners delivered hands-on sessions in our allotment and led some creative activities that encouraged the pupils to express themselves.
After a busy morning of activities, our Supported Studies learners shared their own educational journeys with our guests. This helped Woolgrove pupils understand the opportunities available to them in future.
The event was beneficial for both our guests, and our Supported Studies learners. It allowed our students to gain real-life experience supporting and inspiring pupils from Woolgrove, while helping raise their aspirations.
Amy Lancaster, Head of Supported Studies at North Hertfordshire College, commented: “I really enjoyed our visit from Woolgrove School. It was so lovely to see our students draw on their own positive experiences of SEND education to support their pupils.
