North Hertfordshire College’s Travel & Tourism students hosted an exciting world food showcase as part of their work experience for the 2024/25 academic year.
The event was a great example of collaboration and team spirit, with Level 2 Travel & Tourism students working alongside the second-year Level 3’s to bring their creative vision to life. The students were tasked with deciding a continent to represent, researching facts about each of them, and designing a small taster menu for guests to enjoy. The menus were then pitched to NHC’s Hospitality & Catering students, who brought the ideas to life with mouth-watering food.
As our second-year Level 3 students are coming to the end of their studies with North Hertfordshire College, they held additional responsibilities like creating a risk assessment and managing the event to ensure it ran smoothly.
And that’s not all – the students also created marketing materials to advertise the event to other students. Skye, one of our Level 3 Travel & Tourism students, even arranged a collaboration with NHC’s marketing team to create a video to showcase the event that was then shared on the College’s social media.
