After completing his Level 2 and Level 3 Computing courses at our Stevenage campus last year, Oliver Jaggard has taken an exciting next step in his career — landing a sought-after Level 4 Network Engineer Apprenticeship with leading tech company Computacenter.
Oli tells us how NHC played a pivotal role in preparing him for his chosen career.
“My tutors consistently encouraged me to aim high and explore various career opportunities. Their guidance and support were instrumental in broadening my horizons and shaping my professional aspirations.
“At NHC, I learned essential skills like networking, subnetting, Windows management, and Linux administration. These skills are crucial in my current role for maintaining efficient and secure IT operations.”
Oli explains that traditional school wasn’t the right fit for him, but he always knew he wanted to go into computing. Studying a tailored programme with us at NHC was the perfect option, and he would highly recommend it to others.
When asked what his hopes for the future are, Oli shares:
“In five years, I hope to be in a more advanced role in computing, either within my current company or at another organisation. My goal is to continue developing my skills and take on greater responsibilities, contributing to innovative projects and making a significant impact in the field.”
