NHC’S ENGINEERING STUDENTS VISIT UNIVERSITY OF HERTFORDSHIRE

Published on February 17, 2020

On Friday 17th January our BTEC Engineering students visited the University of Hertfordshire, to look at the Engineering facilities and provision for 2020 entries.

NHC students had the opportunity to discuss life on campus with details on all courses offered at the university. Engineering students also had a site tour of the engineering department, followed by an activity using flight simulators within the aerospace workshops.

The students thoroughly enjoyed taking part in the different workshops, allowing them to gain insight into their chosen career path.

Engineering student, Amman Munir said: “It’s amazing that we have such a great engineering university on our doorstep, with amazing technology facilities, really excited about continuing my study at Hertfordshire University.”

This amazing opportunity for all 6 of our students allowed them to apply for various engineering degrees within the university and provided the students with valuable advice and guidance about the process. The students went away with a feeling of excitement about future opportunities along with new pathways to consider.

As a college, we will work closely with the University of Hertfordshire to maintain a solid relationship to secure a strong pipeline for all our students’ futures.
