Travel And Tourism Students Host A Dance Workshop For Primary School Students

At the start of the academic year the level 3, year 2 travel and tourism students were assigned an entertainment for holidaymakers project.

The students worked with Identity Dance school to plan and rehearse a high energy performance to Justin Timberlake’s – can’t stop the feeling. As well as preparing a dance workshop for year 1 and 2 primary school pupils.

On Tuesday 12th March, the students visited Long Meadow Primary School in Stevenage, to host the workshop. After their morning session a year 1 pupil said: “the ladies were really nice and good at dancing”

A year 2 pupil said: “I really enjoyed the clapping and we got to learn a dance routine all by ourselves.”

Business, travel and events lecturer, Vicky Lang said: “absolutely incredible energy and enthusiasm from the students, I’m so proud of them and their brilliant interaction with the children. Even though they were out of their comfort zone, they overcame their worries and put on an outstanding performance”.
