NHC JOINS COMMUNITY EFFORT TO SUPPORT NHS

North Hertfordshire College is contributing to the community effort to help support the local NHS during the Covid-19 pandemic through a range of activity.

It has:

  • Started production of face shields for front line NHS workers using 3D printing machines. It is currently producing 16 a day and aims to supply up to 100 face shields a week when fully up and running;
  • Donated disposable aprons and 11,500 pairs of protective gloves;
  • Provided its Stevenage campus as a venue to donate blood. The NHS Blood and Transport Service will be using the site on Thursday 9th April for pre-booked appointments. For further information, click here.
