Organised by Kayleigh Clayton, one of North Hertfordshire College’s Business and Travel Success Coaches, NHC staff and students are currently contributing to The Association of Ukrainians in Great Britain’s collection drive.
To begin with, our students and staff came together to collect a range of essential supplies and priority items, as identified by The Association of Ukrainians in Great Britain. These items included medical supplies and baby products, as well as batteries and power banks. Due to an overwhelming response to the collection campaign, both within the College and the local community, we have now stopped collecting physical items and are now raising funds instead.
Our students have worked hard to raise funds using their range of talents, from organising cake sales and buffets to offering hand massages for a donation fee. We’re very proud of our students’ enthusiasm to raise money to support their Ukrainian friends and classmates, and will continue to support their fundraising campaigns.
If you are part of the wider community and would like to contribute to the emergency appeal, more information about donations is available on The Association of Ukrainians in Great Britain’s Facebook page.
The first collection of supplies for Ukraine have been gathered at our ECC campus, ready to be donated to the Association of Ukrainians in Great Britain 👍
