Our Level 3 Public Services students were recently put through their paces by British Military Fitness and their military fitness exercise regime! The scheme is developed from real military fitness training regimes and focuses on core skills that are essential for military service, such as strength and physical preparation for exercise.

Students were split into platoons to work in small teams and complete the fitness tasks and drills. The day formed the perfect opportunity for students to put their top 10 skills for industry to the test in high-intensity situations, practicing their teamwork and leadership abilities.

The feedback from our students about this session was very positive, both in terms of the challenge of the activity and the lessons the students took away with them. Daniel Smith, one of our Level 3 Public Services students, said “I thought they delivered a well-structured and intense fitness session that helped to present the level of fitness required for the more elite side of the armed forces.”

Emma Ball, Public Services tutor at North Hertfordshire College, commented on how well the Public Services students coped with the intensity of the fitness session. She added that the British Military Fitness team “certainly put the students through their paces. It was great to see them get stuck in and get covered in mud!”

Do you have ambitions of fighting crime, tackling fires, or joining one of our armed forces? If the answer to any of those is yes, then one of our Public Services courses could be right for you. Check out our available course options and find who you want to be today!
