Festive Fun At The NET Winter Fayre

Last month saw the annual NET Winter Fayre return to our Stevenage campus!

Our NET learners planned and coordinated a fantastic festive event, full of fun activities, homemade stocking fillers, tasty treats and more – all in aid of Essex and Herts Air Ambulance, our charity of the year.

The Stevenage campus was buzzing, with NET students manning the stalls, selling raffle tickets and spreading festive cheer. Stalls included homemade gifts, tasty treats (including their famous sausage rolls!), bric-a-brac, festive artwork and loads more.

This year’s raffle was bigger and better than ever, with everyone eyeing up the impressive range of prizes on offer.

This year’s NET Winter Fayre raised over £2000! Essex and Herts Air Ambulance, our charity of the year was nominated by North Hertfordshire College staff due to the life-saving work they do 24/7. It’s often assumed that the air ambulance is part of the NHS but it’s a stand-alone charity which relies solely on donations. The North Hertfordshire College team will continue to raise money for this incredible cause throughout the year.

“This is one of my favourite events of the year, everyone looks forward to it. Yet again, I was blown away by the NET students’ artistic ability, creating some fantastic gifts and stocking fillers that my family loved. The Fayre had a wonderful atmosphere and every single learner played their part with professionalism and kindness. The incredible sum raised for our charity of the year is testament to our NET learners’ hard work.”
