Donate Your Car to Our Workshops

Published on May 14, 2021

Could your disused vehicle help shape the future automotive industry?

Do you have an unwanted vehicle that you’d like to get rid of?

Why not donate it to our Motor Vehicle department, to help our budding mechanics get started on their career journey?

Our Motor Vehicle programme is one of our most popular courses, so it’s vital we have appropriate resources available to meet the demand.

Motor Vehicle learners require a range of vehicles and parts to help develop their skills before becoming qualified vehicle specialists.

We are looking for disused cars, of any age or condition, to be donated to our Motor Vehicle department to help our learners gain practical experience in their chosen trade.

Julie King, Head of Motor Vehicle and Construction said:

“Our motor vehicle course continues to experience high demand and it’s vital we have the right resources to meet that demand. Having access to a variety of motor vehicles will help to broaden our students’ knowledge and expertise.”

Our Motor Vehicle learners have gone on to work with local garages, overseas organisations and more. Like Emma, who completed a Motor Vehicle apprenticeship with us before emigrating to Canada to work as a mechanic, or Aryo who went on to work at local garage, A1 German Car Specialists.

Could you play a role in helping young people achieve their career goals?

They do say that ‘one man’s rubbish is another man’s gold’!

We ask anyone interested in donating to contact North Hertfordshire College’s Motor Vehicle Department. Owners will have the opportunity to donate their vehicles directly to the college or, if the vehicle is not roadworthy, please get in contact to discuss deposit/collection options.

To arrange a donation please call 01462 443035 to speak to the North Hertfordshire College Motor Vehicle team.
