North Hertfordshire College’s Digital students recently had the incredible opportunity to take part in work experience with Metatalent.AI, bringing their learning to life.
Metatalent.AI is a tech company that makes HR software which uses artificial intelligence as part of the service. As this technology continues to grow, it’s super important that our digital students are both aware of how AI works and have explored how it can be used in daily life and software products – making this work experience project even more exciting!
Our learners completed a total of 30 hours of work with Metatalent.AI on this employer-set project which saw them immerse themselves in the operations of a tech company. They tackled a wide range of tasks from requirements gathering through to software testing, giving them hands-on experience with various aspects of the software development life cycle (also known as SDLC).
Some of the tasks were new to our learners, being the first time they’ve faced them in practice since learning about the theory in their classes, but the experience has given them a deeper understanding of core topics. Their perseverance hasn’t gone unnoticed, either, with both our tutors and the Metatalent.AI team commenting on the commitment that our students showed to completing the tasks and challenges.
