As part of their North Hertfordshire College journey, our T Level students take part in a 45+ day industry placement to gain real work experience. This not only gives our students a chance to put their skills to the test in a professional work environment, but it also helps them decide what they want to do as their next steps after college – whether that’s university study, an apprenticeship, or going straight into work.
Take Bernie, for example. By completing her industry placement in a primary school, Bernie has decided that teaching really is the right career for her.
She’s now planning to take a year to work after college before starting her journey to becoming a fully-qualified teacher.
