The Access to HE course was intense but amazing. I made some great friends and have learnt so much.
North Hertfordshire College’s Access to Higher Education graduates recently enjoyed a Celebration Event to recognise their success and achievements in their course!
The event offered a perfect opportunity for the students to come together with their classmates and tutors for one last time before they take the next step in their education journey. With their family and friends looking on, the students took part in a mini graduation ceremony and received certificates of completion to mark the end of their studies on the Access to HE course. Further awards followed these certificates, recognising the students who went above and beyond during their course and demonstrated strength, dedication, and perseverance.
Dr Julie Savage, Head of Access to HE at North Hertfordshire College, said of the students: “It was great to celebrate the achievements of our Access to HE students and acknowledge all the hard work that’s gone into their studies. The dedication, resilience, and determination that the students have shown throughout their courses is remarkable. We wish them all the best for the future with their university studies and their careers.”
We asked some of the students about their experience of studying on NHC’s Access to HE course – check out some of their thoughts in the carousel below!
The Access to HE course was intense but amazing. I made some great friends and have learnt so much.
The way in which classes were structured was extremely helpful, as it allowed me to plan my work and childcare commitments and reduce my commuting time.
The course was hard but rewarding. If you want it and put the effort in, you can achieve. Don't give up!
This course takes a lot of commitment and resilience, but the feeling of finishing it is amazing and something I'll never forget or regret.
I absolutely loved my time at North Hertfordshire College. I made great friends and met excellent teachers. Studying Access to HE at NHC was the best decision.
