Computacenter in Hatfield, a leading independent provider of IT infrastructure services, are one of the first companies who have pledged to Give a Future to our students.
During this academic year, they will deliver virtual speaker talks to our students, sharing their experience and knowledge to help shape our students’ understanding of the industry.
Last academic year North Hertfordshire College students completed a week’s worth of work experience with Computacenter. Level 3 IT students, Tyler Jones, Daniel Finch, Sinichay Sumner and Joe Newton had the opportunity to work in different departments within the business, enabling them to gain invaluable operational experience skills and get a real insight into a large corporate.
Student Tyler Jones, said:
“My placement was an eventful week in which I was able to experience what it’s like working in different departments and how they all work with one another. I really enjoyed learning about all the various fields since it helped me decide that I want to go into cyber-security.”
Computacenter Future Talent Advisor, Doris Webb, said: “I would have hired them all if I had the vacancies available. It was a great week with them.”
