This two-year course will give you the knowledge and skills for gaining employment in the sector or progressing to degree-level study at university.
HOW AND WHAT WILL I LEARN?
Your course will consist of classroom-based assignments, projects, practical tests and exams.
You will study topics including advanced nutritional strategies for athletes; laboratory and field-based testing for performance; biomechanics, injury prevention and sports massage; sport-specific strength and conditioning programme; psychology for sports performance and, research methods in sport and exercise sciences.
The HNC is awarded after successful completion of the first year.

WHAT DO I NEED TO APPLY?
You need 48 UCAS points (120 on the old tariff), including a level 3 (or equivalent) in sport or physical education and typically GCSEs, at grade 9-4 in maths and English.
