Supporting Stevenage Regeneration plans
North Hertfordshire College is partnering with Stevenage Borough Council to provide training and routes into employment as part of Stevenage town centre’s regeneration plans.
The Stevenage Works partnership agreement focuses on construction skills. Working together, the partners will provide training and job opportunities, including apprenticeships for young people and unemployed adults. Jobcentre Plus will identify local candidates, as well as welcoming applicants from the wider community, and North Hertfordshire College will deliver training in basic construction skills, as well as CV and interview training.
The council is also working with a range of tier one construction contractors on refurbishment and retrofit projects across the area. All contractors have committed to providing routes into employment through the Stevenage Works partnership.
