SALARY: £20,000-£25,000 (FTE)

JOB TYPE: Part time, permanent

HOURS: 27.5. Working hours will be across Monday to Friday 4:30pm-10pm and some weekend work




We are looking for highly motivated individual to run the Sports Centre at Hitchin

  • Sports Centre management experience is a desirable, but not essential.  
  • Level 2 literacy and numeracy 
  • Experience of working successfully and as part of a team. 
  • A business-like and customer focused approach to working with employers and stakeholders. 
  • An excellent understanding and experience of working with employers.
  • An organiser who implements tasks and plans schedules to optimise efficiency an productivity. 
  • A demonstrable track record of working as part of a team. 
  • The ability to adapt quickly and creatively to new initiatives. 
  • Ability to work on own initiative. 
  • Excellent Communication Skills. 
  • A willingness to undertake staff development to improve own performance. An imaginative problem solver who continuously improves process and promotes better ways of working. 






  • Manage the day to day running of the Sports Centre.  
  • Deal with bookings, payments and enquiries from the public.  
  • Manage a small team of part time staff and be involved in their recruitment and training.  
  • The postholder will all marketing and promotion of the Sports Centre, to maximise bookings and increase profits to the group.  
  • Responsible for the health and safety of the centre and must ensure we comply with all current legislation.  
  • As key holder you will be required to lock up the centre at the end of the shift.
