SALARY: £26,000-£28,000

JOB TYPE: Full time, permanent

HOURS: Full time – 37 hours per week

LOCATION: Home based

 

JOB PURPOSE:

You will be responsible for the end to end progress and development of learners on a range on online distance learning courses including, but not limited to, Customer Service, Business Administration, Mental Health Awareness and Challenging Behaviour.

Learners will be supported over a 13 week course, through an online portfolio, support calls, emails and MS Teams.

PERSON SPECIFICATION

  • Understanding of Ofsted EIF, and ability to support delivery teams to develop towards outstanding
  • Level 2 Literacy and Numeracy with high level of IT skills.
  • Assessment qualifications e.g. A1, L3 TAQA
  • Significant vocational experience in at least 4 of the below:
    • Mental Health Awareness
    • Managing Challenging Behaviour
    • Equality and Diversity
    • Team Leading
    • Customer Service
    • Business Administration
    • Childcare – Highly desirable
    • Healthcare – Highly desirable
  • Relevant teacher training qualification – PTTLS, DTLLS/Cert Ed (Desirable)
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to engage and inspire adult learners and people who may be long-term NEETs.
  • Ability to work under pressure.
  • A strong track record of good or better teaching and learning delivery, whilst achieving high levels of student success.
  • Highly organised and able to manage the full learner programme using a range of tools and processes.
  • Professional, accountable and responsible work ethics.
  • Experience of teaching/training and assessment within a vocational context.
  • Capable of utilising IT applications and interactive training tools.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for the online assessment and feedback to a caseload of learners on a range of Level 2 courses ensuring consistently outstanding assessment, feedback and support.
  • Ensure learner achievement is high through effective communication with learners during their learner journey.
  • Ensure assessment and feedback meets all awarding body standards and support learners to complete in a timely manner.
  • Offer input into process reviews and developments related to our online learning offer to clients
  • Deliver consistently good or better teaching sessions, incorporating an effective range of learning strategies and technologies that enable outstanding learning outcomes.
  • Assess learners’ needs and set robust plans and targets to meet their needs on an individual basis.
  • Achieve outcomes for clients that provide a wide range of benefits including jobs, apprenticeships, qualifications and other progression routes.
  • Provide both academic and pastoral support to students, working with them to raise their ambition and aspiration, ensuring they realise their full potential.
  • Manage data for learners including enrolment, daily registration, and ensure all requests for ALS & support needs are processed efficiently.
  • Manage individual learner targets, always ensuring that learners are being stretched and challenged to ensure their onward progression.
  • Contribution to standardisation, team meetings and the Performance Board cycle.
