JOB PURPOSE:

This is a great opportunity to contribute to a dedicated project of strategic workforce development within Hertfordshire. You will be an Employer Engagement Executive working as part of a highly motivated, focussed Business Development team. In this role it all starts with you! You will be responsible for working collaboratively with employers to identify training needs. Alongside recruiting, engaging and supporting learners’ applications for job roles onto our range of programmes including, Apprenticeship programmes and ensuring learners received the best possible to start to their journey with us.

PERSON SPECIFICATION

  • Previous experience of business-to-business sales desirable
  • Proven track record of recruitment and engagement with young people.
  • Excellent communicator, possessing ability to communicate with many people on many different levels with great levels of empathy.
  • Able to interact with potential learners using various methods, including, face to face meetings and events, social media, TEAMS video calls and over the telephone.
  • Target driven and passionate about results, with a proven track record of exceeding learner engagement targets.
  • Creative flair with input into solutions-based advertising campaigns.
  • Customer centric in everything you do.
  • Passionate and enthusiastic about young people and customer excellence.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Proactively engage with local employers and potential new customers by contributing to the teams plan led marketing activity.
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with both our potential clients, and learners.
  • Carry out Training Needs Analysis with potential employer customers.
  • Work with employers and curriculum experts to support the development of educational solutions to meet local skills training needs.
  • Consistently achieve individual and team, learner start, targets and KPI’s through high standards of performance in-line with business expectations.
  • Support with the successful planning and running of learner engagement events, including careers fairs and opens evenings.
  • Support with the preparation of potential Apprentices to make applications for job roles and be ready for interview via CV reviews and mock interviews.
  • Support the uploading of new job vacancies to our chosen platform Get My First Job and the Apprenticeship Service (AS).
  • Close working relationship with internal teams at our ECC (Engineering and Construction Campus) and Hitchin sites, with our marketing department and other key internal stakeholders in WEX (work experience) and careers development.
  • Support with answering emails and phone enquiries relating to Apprenticeships and other Hart L&D products.
