Another academic year, another Welcome Event! North Hertfordshire College celebrated the start of the new academic year with a series of Welcome Events across our campuses!
Our Welcome Events provide an opportunity for our learners to get to know each other, explore support available to them, find out how our external partners can help them, and (most importantly) have LOADS of fun!
The events featured representatives from local organisations and charities such as Hertfordshire Police, Mind Mental Health Support, Services for Young People, Wagamama, Herts Young Homeless, Garden House Hospice, Shared Anti-Fraud Service, Beacon Hertfordshire Victim Care Centre, Mindler, Choice Pregnancy Advice Centre, Junction 7 Creatives, Hertfordshire Road Safety Partnership, and Breakeven. Our Student Services team were also on-hand to talk about their role within the college community.
This year, we were SO excited to have a Magic Mirror Photobooth from CC5 Visuals at every site capturing all of the fun! Check out some of our snaps:
Clare Cooper, Head of Student Services and one of the Welcome Event organisers, commented:
“I really look forward to our Welcome Events each year, and this one was better than ever! These events present a unique opportunity for new and returning learners to make new friends, connect with local organisations and make the most of the services available to them at NHC. I’d like to extend a huge thank you to everyone who supported the events this year, we couldn’t do it without you!”
We look forward to seeing the other activities our learners get up to over the rest of the academic year!
