The honour, awarded from the Society for Education and Training and the Education and Training Foundation, recognises Cheryl’s dedication to her profession and her high level of skill and commitment to teaching.
To receive this award Cheryl successfully completed a 12-month period of Professional Development and was assessed on her achievements. Nadia Hodges, Director of Curriculum, said of Cheryl’s success: “We are delighted that Cheryl has been recognised for her devotion to teaching. She continually exceeds expectations in the classroom, encouraging and motivating her students and creating innovative and engaging lessons. She has such a passion for her work and with this additional recognition she will be able to share her expertise with many others.”
Cheryl said: “I am very happy to have passed my ATS, I have really enjoyed researching different topics to support teaching and learning. I will now mentor and support other members of staff who want to start their QTLS and ATS, and I will continue to undertake research for my teaching, learning and coaching role.”
