We are passionate about our commitment to youth social action and examples of the great activity we get involved in can be seen across all of our courses. Students have run workshops for toddlers in our local farm, helped hospice patients to update their allotment, worked with councils to clear up and redevelop unused green land, as well as getting our community involved in the on-site allotment at our Stevenage site.
As part of our commitment to youth social action, we were one of a small number of colleges across the country to be funded by the Pears Foundation to deliver the #iwill campaign. The campaign encourages young people to take social action and make a positive difference in the lives of people in their local communities.
Social action activities include campaigning, fundraising and volunteering, all of which create a double benefit – to communities and our students themselves.
