Hart Kitchens is our student-run contemporary restaurant serving high-quality food. Under the direction of our expert tutors, our students design, prepare and serve all of the menus to staff, students and the general public.
We’re open Tuesday – Thursday during term time and offer a two or three-course lunchtime menu plus a daily special dish. We also host regular theme evenings where you can try a whole host of cuisines.
Every time you dine at Hart Kitchens, you’re contributing towards the future of our catering and hospitality students who gain valuable work experience by working in the restaurant as trainee chefs and waiting staff.
Hart Kitchens gives our students the opportunity to practice their skills by laying out tables, hosting, preparing food, cooking, serving, stock management, event planning and customer service.
Our students at various course levels work in different roles within the restaurant, with higher-level students planning and delivering menus for the theme evenings that we run throughout the year.
When you dine with us, don’t forget to get your Hart Kitchens loyalty card stamped! When you collect eight stamps, you’ll receive a complimentary three-course lunchtime meal.

Themed evenings start at 6.30PM until late
