First Steps Programme

Take the first steps into your future ✨

It can be hard to know what you want to do as the next step towards your future, especially after the disruption of the last couple of years. NHC’s First Steps programme is here to provide you with the space and time to explore your interests, whilst also supporting the development of your CV.

Our programme is designed to work at your own pace to help you explore small introductions to areas of interest, allowing you to discover opportunities for your future and find what’s right for you. We’ll be with you every step of the way, supporting your journey as you find your path to the future.

Meet some like-minded people, explore some new interests, and build some new skills – the journey to your future starts with NHC.

Boost your CV with bitesized sessions

Our bitesized sessions are designed to move at your own pace, helping you pick the path that suits your interests and your own personal growth. You’ll have room to explore the subjects and skills that interest you, from practical and work-related skills through to creative mindfulness techniques to support your mental wellbeing.

You’ll also take part in opportunities to prepare you for the world of work through short virtual work experience opportunities, retail placements, and digital sessions to polish your skills.

What is involved in the First Steps programme?
