A level 2 qualification in a relevant subject area passed with merit or distinction and maths and English at grade 9-4 (or Functional Skills level 2 or above) or be prepared to study this as part of your programme.
You will also be invited to attend an interview.

This course is for you if you are interested in developing the key skills you have learnt at levels 1 and 2 and apply this at a higher level of food and beverage service.
You will develop a stronger understanding of how the industry works as a business and how elements such as food safety, supervisory skills and planning and promotional work will support your future career.
You will develop supervisory skills including food safety supervision in the hospitality industry, and put into practice skills you have learnt through planning events and evening functions, while working in conjunction with the level 3 chefs.
This will give you the knowledge and skills you need to decide what you will study next or be successful in the industry.
You will access inspirational teaching sessions to help you develop advanced skills and techniques in supervising and legislation, promotion of food and beverage services and products, supervising customer service, barista skills, service of wines and understanding pairing of foods, supervising hospitality events, service of food, handling of payments, bookings and menu design.
You will complete either work-based projects or work experience allowing you to get a real insight into the industry.
