Five GCSEs at grade 4 or above, including maths and English or a level 2 qualification in a relevant subject area passed with merit or distinction with maths and English at grade 9-4 (or Functional Skills level 2 or above).
You will also be invited to attend an interview.

You will be able to apply to the second year of the programme, employment or apprenticeships.
Careers available include network manager, software developer/programmer, systems analyst, technical support and computer hardware engineer.
This two year course is for you if you are interested in examining key concepts related to this diverse and global industry.
You will develop a strong understanding of how the industry works as a business and how parts like networking, digital design, websites and gaming operate.
You will develop management skills such as delivering presentations, academic writing, working with others and problem-solving.
You will access inspirational teaching sessions to help you understand important topics in the industry.
You will complete either work-based projects or work experience allowing you to get a real insight into the industry.
You will look at how the how to protect big data within organisations, information technology, communication within the tech industry, project planning skills and cyber security. You will take part in industry events such as Worldskills, ECP network and the National Museum of Computing.
