IS THIS FOR ME?

The Level 3 is an introductory teaching qualification perfect for anyone wanting to take their first steps into teaching, or even those of you already in a teaching or training role.

This course is designed to give you an insight into the role of a teacher or trainer and give you the opportunity to:

  • Develop your knowledge related to teaching and learning
  • Develop skills in teaching and learning and assessment including planning, delivering and evaluating
  • Develop your communication and engagement skills
  • Understand the pastoral needs of Further Education students
  • Achieve a nationally recognised level 3 qualification

HOW AND WHAT WILL I LEARN?

As part of this course you will study 3 units :

  • Understand the roles, responsibilities and relationships in Education and Training
  • Understand and how to use inclusive teaching and learning approaches in Education and Training
  • Understand assessment in Education and Training

These are assessed through written assignments, practical micro teach sessions and reflective accounts.
