What you need to know

IS THIS FOR ME?

This course is for over 18s who are passionate about a career in the creative industries.

You will further develop your skills and deepen your understanding of key concepts across a range of art and design disciplines.

HOW AND WHAT WILL I LEARN

This is a hands-on course, where making and doing are at its core. You will be encouraged to develop experimental and exploratory approaches to creativity across a broad spectrum of art & design specialisms, including fine art, graphics, 3D, fashion & textile design.

Your course will also develop your contextual knowledge, communication skills and critical thinking through group discussions, presentations, meeting industry professionals and visiting galleries.

The course is delivered in three phases, underpinned by project-based learning, large scale collaborative ventures, individual guidance, formal feedback and peer reviews:

  • You will be introduced to skills and contextual understanding connected with different areas of art & design.
  • You will develop a personal portfolio to support progression to higher education or workplace.
  • You will develop an individual project proposal for your final major project, which will be realised through your final exhibition.

Our courses are awarded by University of Arts London and you will have the opportunity to apply for their ‘Insights’ Programme and attend one of their prestigious universities in London, as part of their winter workshops programme.

All these opportunities help you make a decision about your creative future.
