Entry Requirements
Four GCSEs at grade 3 or above including maths and English or a level 1 qualification with maths and English at grade 3 or above (or Functional Skills level 1 or above).
You will also be invited to attend an interview.
Future Study and Careers
Level 3 Diploma Hospitality Supervision.
Careers include supervisory and management roles within the hospitality industry.
This progression course enables you to develop your interest and passion for hospitality and prepares you for a future career front of house.
You will look in detail at the different elements of food and beverage service and develop the skills you learnt at level 1 to further understand key areas.
This includes customer relations, health and safety, food safety, planning and costing hospitality events, customer service in hospitality and products, services and support in the industry.
Your course will mainly consist of practical sessions with the running of our Hart Kitchens restaurant, and some classroom-based activities,
You will also work with several employers through the year.
Areas for study include developing your food and beverage skills including hot and cold beverages, alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks including cocktails, table service, table theatre and events and functions.
You will hone the relevant workplace skills you have learnt at level 1 and learn how to develop these at a higher level including problem-solving and planning.
You will also complete maths and English qualifications to grade 4 if you haven’t got them already as they are essential in this industry.
