Future Study

Progression to Access to HE courses in Nursing and Midwifery, Allied Health and Science Professions or Applied Social Science with Law Diplomas. From there, careers reflective of the Diploma titles.

What you need to know

IS THIS FOR ME?

Our 15 week pre-access course is designed for adults seeking to return to formal education. It is intended to support progression onto our level 3 Access to HE Diplomas but is also a standalone level 2 qualification.

If you are not able to study a full-time course but would like to develop your knowledge and skills or if you are unsure about the next steps and would benefit from a period in College, developing your skill set and exploring options for future careers and or courses, this course may be for you.

The course will include two onsite sessions. The first will involve an introduction to online learning, and the opportunity for further support, if required, with digital skills to ensure that you can successfully engage with the course.

HOW AND WHAT WILL I LEARN?

This course is assessed through assignments linked to each unit studied.

  • Introduction to Sociology
  • Sociology of Health and Illness
  • Introduction to Psychology
  • Effective Learning
  • Project
