This two-year course will prepare you for degree-level study. It will give you an excellent grounding in computing while allowing you to specialise in aspects relating specifically to software development.
In the first year, you will develop your knowledge of programming, computer systems architecture, data analysis, networks and wireless and systems analysis.
In your second year, you will study a mix of modules focusing on computing areas as well as software development.
Your course will consist of classroom-based theory sessions, practical activities and a work-based learning project working with employers.
You will study topics including: programming concepts; developing the computer professional; topics in computer systems; understanding databases and data analysis; networking fundamentals; systems analysis and, three specialist modules related to software development.
