Our expert tutors and employer connections will help you develop the skills to manage your
own business, so you can build a returning client base who enjoy your work. If you haven’t got them already, you’ll also study your maths and English qualifications, as they are essential in this industry.
We regularly bring industry experts into the classroom to share their perspectives and experiences of working in the hairdressing and barbering sector. Work experience is built into this pathway, too, so you’ll have the chance to apply techniques you’ve learnt from guest speakers to real work tasks.
To help you feel more confident in your skills before your placement, you’ll also have opportunities to work in our on-site salon, The Retreat. This safe space will see you complete a range of treatments on members of the public alongside support from our expert tutors, preparing you for your next steps.
