There are no formal qualifications required. However, to access the Aspire+ course, you should aim to develop your independence in a college setting.

It is for young people (aged 16-24) with severe learning difficulties, working at entry level 1, who aspire to develop greater levels of independence and employability skills in a college environment.
The Aspire+ course is about developing basic skills for independent living or supported employment.
The aim of the course is to promote independence, confidence, self-esteem, social and communication skills in preparation for adulthood, through practical activities including sensory learning opportunities.
Learning support assistants will meet and greet you on arrival and stay with the group all day, including breaks and lunch. The timetable runs from 9AM -2.30PM, four days a week and includes:
Learning experiences are tailored for each individual throughout the curriculum, with progress and achievement recorded in a portfolio.
