HOW AND WHAT WILL I LEARN?

This introductory course is designed for individuals considering a career in care or those with loved ones receiving care.

Effective communication is at the heart of quality care, and this course explores the essential skills needed to build trust, show empathy, and support the wellbeing of others. Participants will learn how to communicate clearly and respectfully with service users, families, and colleagues, including those with communication difficulties or diverse needs.

Through practical examples and interactive activities, the course highlights the importance of active listening, non-verbal cues, confidentiality, and cultural sensitivity.

No prior experience is required, just a genuine interest in helping others. By the end of the course, you’ll feel more confident in their ability to connect with and support people in care settings, whether professionally or personally.
