Construction & Trades Guide to Enrolment

Important note about our campuses:

Electrical Installations students: Your course will be taught at the main Stevenage campus (Monkswood Way, SG1 1LA).

Other Construction & Trades students: Start dates for courses at the Town Centre Campus will be staggered, please refer to your start date leaflet that you’ll be given in your Curriculum Conversation.

Step 1: Meet & Greet

When you first arrive at our campus, our meet and greet team will be waiting at the door to say hello to you. They’ll then be able to direct you to where you need to go for your next stage in the process.

A member of our team will need to scan your documents, such as your GCSE results, so that we can add these details to our records. Make sure you stop by the scanner so that our team can get this sorted for you.

You’ll also be given your Enrolment Passport – keep hold of this, and make sure you get every stage of it signed by our team!

Step 4: Admin Sign Off

Your curriculum administrator will give you any extra information you need to start your study journey with us, including a copy of your timetable and a breakdown of where your classrooms will be.

You might also need to make some payments towards your course for things like trips or specialist PPE and equipment (full details are available on our Enrolment Hub). If you have any concerns about these payments, please speak to a member of our team who’ll be able to provide you with any extra details or offer support.

Optional Step

Chat to Student Services and Additional Learning Support

If you’d like to talk to our Student Services team about financial support or any other concerns or questions you might have at this stage in your NHC journey, please let a member of our team know. You’ll be invited to meet with them in a quiet area, helping you find all the answers you need.

Our Additional Learning Support team will also be available to talk to you about any EHCP plans or special educational needs you might have to make sure you’ve got the right plans in place.
