LEVEL 3 FASHION STUDENTS SEE THEIR DESIGNS ON THE CATWALK AT BIRMINGHAM CLOTHES SHOW
Our level 3 fashion students saw their work professionally modelled on the catwalk at the Clothes Show in Birmingham from the 1st to the 7th December.
The students were selected to present their designs alongside university students, which demonstrates their high technical ability at such an early stage of their careers.
Whilst at the Clothes Show, the students also attended numerous industry talks and workshops.
Gareth Roberts, a fashion lecturer, said: “This is a rare opportunity for level 3 students to showcase their work to the UK press and receive such highly commendable feedback from industry experts. I am extremely proud of the students involved.”
Additionally, the college stand at the show was designed and maintained by the students, which gave them the opportunity to display their work whilst promoting the College.
This year’s theme was a conceptual take on the subject of food, integrating exploratory fashion and textile techniques: pattern cutting, garment construction, screen printing and fabric manipulation.
