Volunteering Opportunities

The College has volunteering groups at both Hitchin and Stevenage sites for those people interested in volunteering.  Learners are invited to come along to find out how they can get involved, or bring their own ideas of opportunities that they would like to take part in.
We link with various local volunteer initiatives, Millennium Volunteers and will soon be introducing the Duke of Edinburgh Award.

We have a peer-mentoring scheme, where continuing learners can give some of their time to support new learners to the College.

All of this is very rewarding, both on a personal and professional level. 

The groups meet once a month, but there are opportunities to contribute throughout the year.  Talk to Student Services or the Students’ Union for more information.
