The Education Case
In designing and developing our curriculum all managers are asked to use a checklist that requires them and teams to build equality and diversity thinking and targets into that process.

The tutorial, enrichment programme and the materials used in the teaching process can all be used to challenge stereotyping, xenophobia and inappropriate attitudes towards minorities and vulnerable groups. Resources to assist teachers in developing equality and diversity strategies are made available electronically at our
Freedom of Information section.
Targets on equality and diversity are also built into the Academy Business Plans and self assessment process.
NHC’s objective is not a multicultural curriculum that teaches students to recite the Disability Act but one that produces plumbers, hairdressers, historians who respect the diversity of their customers and are responsive to their needs
