Flu Pandemic Update

The National Pandemic Flu Service has now been launched and should be used by those who are concerned that they may have contracted swine flu. Any student or member of staff who has flu-like symptoms should check them out via the Flu Service:

If you are in an at risk group you should contact your GP directly.

If you are positively diagnosed as having swine flu please stay away from college until you are recovered and free from symptoms. Students and staff do not need to stay away from college if they have contact with someone suffering from swine flu – if you feel well please attend as normal.

NHC is following all recommendations and advice supplied by the UK Government, Health Protection Agency and other relevant bodies. We have put in place measures to protect the health and well being of our students and staff and we will be looking at what else we can do over the coming weeks.
