Sports and Sports Academies
We support those who aspire to employment and improve their skills in the workplace.
The Academy will play a major role in up-skilling learners, coaches, etc. to ensure that a representative group of local residents, visitors and employees join together, with a common interest in achieving the maximum benefits from the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games, now and in the future.

The Academy runs BTEC vocational courses in Sports including the Foundation Degree in Sports Studies. As a COVE the Academy promotes part-time adult coaching and fitness courses and currently works in collaboration with over 20 Sporting National Governing Bodies (NGB) and a range of local companies.
At NHC all of our travel and tourism courses have been designed in consultation with key employers in the travel and tourism industry, to increase learners' chances of gaining employment in this exciting industry.
The Academy also offers learners the opportunity to undertake Public Service courses for all those who are looking to join any of the forces; Army, Navy, RAF, or uniformed services such as the police, fire and ambulance.
These courses are run by former service personnel who will give you an insight into and prepare you for life in the Public Uniformed Services sector. These courses also contain practical and physical fitness and numerous enrichment outdoor activities.
