Parents and Guardians
Partnership with Parents for parents/guardians of all 16-18 year old full-time learners
Partnership with parents/guardians
The College offers an adult environment which encourages learners to take responsibility for their own learning programmes.
However, it sees the support of parents and guardians as important in ensuring their learners’ success and has established a Partnership with Parents for parents/guardians of all 16-18 year old full-time learners from the time they join NHC.
For more information, please call our Student Services team on 01462 424242.
Parents and guardians are able to discuss any concerns they have with the learner’s course/personal tutor and have a right to access clear and concise information on:
• the programme of study
• the timetable
• approaches to teaching and learning
• the time to be devoted to study
• the method of assessment and the qualification awarded
• potential progression opportunities
Please note, some learners prefer us not to share personal information about their progress and any issues at College. Although we appreciate that this can sometimes be frustrating for parents and guardians, according to Data Protection, we are legally obliged to respect this decision.
